Hey everyone! In this episode Turk and I catch up on some fun and interesting rumors and news including Mandalorian Season 3 and how it could lead to the dreaded Sequel Trilogy (sorry sequel fans, but Turk and I do not like those movies). We also discuss Avatar: The Way of Water's domestic and worldwide box office, and what James Cameron had to say about Marvel. We also look at a rumor suggesting a certain character in the new Indiana Jones: Dial of Destiny role will be be cut down significantly. Who could it be and what is the reason for this? Finally, we cover some sad news as it relates to Mark Hamill's Joker. Since the passing of Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman from the legendary Batman: The Animated Series. The big question remains - will Hamill continue the role with out Conroy?

First we cover a article reporting that the last minute Reshoots in January to Ant-Man & Wasp: Quantamania could mean we are getting a more dick and fart joke heavy movie vs a more serious deeply emotional film that it was originally intended to be? In the second article we cover the more likely possibility that David Ayer's original cut of the 2016 'Suicide Squad' will see the light of day with the new take over with James Gunn as the new CEO of DC Studios. Finally, we discuss an article discussing The Joker Part 2's composer discussing the sequels direction as a musical and what this all could mean for Todd Phillip's Joker Universe? There was once a time when going to the latest film at the cinema was a big event outing. These days anytime a big tentpole film is about to be released. The usual feeling is - what social political messages are they going to preach to us this time. It seems Hollywood has forgotten what people love about watching movies and TV shows? The chance to experience pure 'escapism'. Who didn't dream they could fly like Superman around the world, or take up adventures and fight the Evil Empire like Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia?
Movie sequels such as Thor Love and Thunder, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever should be sure fire hits having people craving to see more of these fan favorite heroes. Instead these movies offer little more than some companies (Disney) or film makers particular social messaging by deconstructing and subverting our expectations on how these characters should be represented. Do we even have to mention Rian Johnson's take on Luke Skywalker in the Last Jedi. Where he took the most hopeful person in the Stars Wars Universe, and made him the most hopeless person who gave up on everyone - who's only purpose in the film is to die.

DC is under new leadership. Warner Bros. Discovery has hired James Gunn as co-chairman and co-CEO of DC Studios. In their first order of business they decide to cut ties with Henry Cavill as Superman. Henry Cavill is more than just an actor. He is a unique person who has a true passion for fictional universes - DCs Superman, The Witcher, Warhammer. And we think he deserves better.
In this episode we discuss the pros and cons of this big change. Is starting from scratch the kick start DC needs to finally have a cinamatic universe it's characters deserve. Also, we discuss what this could mean for the upcoming film's still yet to be released - Shazam! Fury of the Gods, Flash Point, Blue Beetle, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. How will this affect audiences excitement going into these films. Is there any point to care? I guess we'll wait and see. Thanks for listening.

The 13 year wait is over. Avatar: The Way of Water is finally here and James Cameron cannot hide all the way on Pandora from our The Good, The Bad, & Ugly Review! We knew before hand this will be one of the most visually innovative films ever. With that said, is this movie more than just a beautiful highly entertaining expensive blockbuster we see released every year?? Or is it one of those movies you must watch in your lifetime - a movie that is beautiful, touching and speaks right into your heart!

Christmas is right around the corner. What better way to celebrate the holidays with a dark, crazy, twisted, inventive, and violent Christmas classic for our Retro Roundtable. Gremlins is the 1984 black comedy horror film directed by Joe Dante and written by Chris Columbus.
This movie is greatness in every single way. The movie has it all: style, charm, horror, action, blood, guts, and humor, but it also never gets too overtly slapstick or comical. Don’t get us wrong, the tongue and cheek are still firmly in place. Gremlins in our opinions was among the top echelon of movies from the glorious ‘80’s (that decade was GREAT to be a kid or teenager). We pity the fool who doesn’t appreciate this classic.
So, when your washing machine blows up or your TV goes on the fritz, before you call the repair man, turn on all the lights and look under all the beds. ‘Cause you never can tell, there just might be a gremlin in your house. Thanks for listening.

The Christmas season is here again. What better way to start things of with a little Good, the Bad, & Ugly review from our favorite Guardians of the Galaxy!
Marvels 2nd special is a fun little Christmas story with little stake and that is perfectly fine. But don't kid yourself, this 45 min special adds way more to the Marvel universe than the entire phase 4 has done this whole time. We're going to destroy this podcast just like James Cameron destroyed the box office back in 2009 with a little film called 'Avatar'. Both of us always felt this movie was a visual feast if nothing else. However, after re-watching it again, Avatar remains in its own way a cinematic wonder - which brings the audience as close as ever to actually visiting an alien world. The world of Pandora comes alive so visually, aurally and emotionally that it is in itself the true star of the show! After 12 years we think Avatar is a true event and it does what exactly a movie should be intended to do - it takes us away from our problems and worries for a few hours. Thanks for listening

Get ready for a symphony of silly! In our 4th and final Halloween Retro Roundtable we celebrate and discuss - Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn. Sami Raimi's definitive horror comedy sequel that improves upon the original installment in every way, but is it really considered a sequel or is it remake of the first movie?? In truth it doesn't really matter to us, because we love this movie all the same.
Come join us and have a groovy time as we break down all the blood splatter, chainsaw cutting, and all the eyebrow-raising violence. Combined with masterful stop motion, practical effects, and of course the amazing physical acting from the one and only Bruce Campbell makes this a much see movie during Halloween or anytime really.
